AAA Foam Insulation Technology Insulates Steel and Concrete Masonry Building With Spray Foam
WEST LAWN, PA–September 13, 2012–When a newly constructed steel and concrete masonry building required insulation, AAA Foam Insulation Technology (AAA) answered the call.
AAA crewmembers employed three rigs with Graco proportioners to apply 2 lb. closed-cell polyurethane spray foam to the roofline and interior walls of the newly constructed building. The walls required three inches of foam, while the roofline required four inches. The spray area of the walls was over 14,000 sq. ft. and the spray area of the roofline was over 48,000 sq. ft.
Although overspray was not a major issue since this project was done on the interior of the new building, crewmembers plastic-wrapped the doors for protection since they had not yet been installed.
Per building codes, a fireproof coating was required, although it was applied by a different contractor. It took four crewmembers four weeks to complete this project, which lasted from April through May of 2012.
