“We seem to be getting calls from the website, and that’s what it’s all about,” Gordon said.

Gordon compared the new system to his early days in the roofing industry, when he took over a business owned by his father, and previously his grandfather. 

“We used to rely on business purely through word of mouth, he said. “And a contract was a handshake.”

Gordon still incorporates this mindset into the current business approach at Circle G Roofing, which, with the assistance of his sons, is still a family-run operation. He cited opportune situations in which one customer found Circle G through the Phoenix website, and later proceeded to recommend the company to a neighbor. It’s the old system at work with a 21st century twist. 

“We live in a different world today and you have to adjust to that,” he said.
