Demilec Releases Innovative Open-Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation
ARLINGTON, TX – March 27, 2014 – Demilec recently released an innovative new spray polyurethane foam insulation and air seal that conforms with state and local building code requirements and also complies with stringent VOC standards for homes, offices and schools. DEMILEC APX® is a low-density spray foam used to insulate and air seal homes, schools, and buildings and meets the rigorous fire test standard established by the International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) for use in attics without a protective fire coating.
In addition to superior fire performance, DEMILEC APX also passed the rigorous Berkeley Analytical VOC test in accordance with section 01350 of the California Department of Public Health / Environmental Health Laboratory Branch (CDPH/EHLB) using method V1.1. Berkeley Analytical is an independent, third-party laboratory specializing in the analysis of organic chemicals emitted by and contained in building products, finishes, furniture, and consumer products, and are an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
DEMILEC APX has been independently evaluated by the ICC-ES and issued Evaluation Service Report ESR-3470.
