Garden State Insulation Completes Spray Foam Application at Lake Front Home
POINT PLEASANT, NJ – August 31, 2012 – When a professional woodworker was building his home and needed insulation, Garden State Insulation [GSI] was brought on board to insulate the home with spray foam.
The new 7,500 sq. ft. home is located on waterfront property at picturesque Lake Louise located near Point Pleasant, New Jersey. Nick DeLucia, the Owner of GSI, said “The woodwork around the house is unbelievable.”
Ben Moylan, head foreman for this project, stated that GSI employed one spray rig with two Graco Reactor spray foam machines to execute the application in the new home during July of 2012.
The application required 3.5 in. of closed-cell spray foam, sprayed over the building envelope, to achieve an R-value of 21. GSI opted for FOAM-LOK 2000, a 2 lb. foam made by Lapolla, for this project. DeLucia said GSI chose Lapolla because it is “the best” option for their needs.
Crewmembers applied the spray foam along the roofline and exterior walls of the house. The total spray area was approximately 25,000 bd. ft. (which equates to over 7,000 sq. ft. of insulation).
Tarps and spray booths were employed while crewmembers sprayed. According to Moylan, GSI “doesn’t take any chances with overspray.”
According to GSI, the customer was very pleased with the overall results of the spray foam application for his new home. A crew of four completed the project in three days.
