Polyurea Spray Rig Goes to the Caribbean Islands

ST. MAARTEN, CARIBBEAN - April 4, 2014 - Spray Anytime. Spray Anywhere. That is what is being said about the all new SFS ProPAK XD Series Mobile Spray Rigs.

These new spray rigs manufactured by Spray Foam Systems (SFS), a leading manufacturer of Spray Foam Insulation Rigs, allow contractors to be more versatile and spray a wide range of industrial coatings and sealants, including spray polyurethane foam and polyurea. Industrial Coatings Inc.(ICI), a local protective coating contractor in St. Maarten, was consulted to install a polyurea protective coating on a roof top. ICI was looking for a rig that could be custom installed into a box truck, and heard about the new ProPAK XD rigs offered by SFS. After consulting with SFS, ICI decided to go with the ProPAK XD3.

The ProPAK XD3 provided ICI with a turn key solution, installed in the box of a provided truck. The ProPAK XD3 will provide a polyurea contractor with everything they need to operate and spray polyurea or protective coatings on a job site. ICI's first job consisted of a roof, so the 310' of heated hose of the XD3 allowed them to easily reach the entire roof system.

"The new ProPAK XD Series are really popular right now, contractors are using the rigs for all types of applications," said TJ Peters, General Manager of SFS. "The ProPAK XD is a versatile unit that can also spray foam insulation, lift and level concrete, and also install other sealants and protective coatings."

SFS recently released an article in Spray Foam Insulation and Roofing Magazine where the ProPAK XD3 was used for SPF, as well as secondary containment, a polyurea application.

"We are thrilled to have the ProPAK out there and getting the great feedback and success stories like this. It's exciting to see all of the applications out there that people are using the rigs for," said Peters. "The pictures of the ICI roof job were really great. It makes me want to go out and spray some polyurea."

The ProPAK XD rigs are available in sizes ranging from the nimble XD1 to the high volume XD4, with the XDi, the Integrated Spray Rig and also custom options available.
