CLINTON, OH – November 19, 2019 – Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues, Inc.'s (RICOWI) Wind Investigation Report of the October 10, 2018 Florida Hurricane Michael was published today. RICOWI investigates and reports on the field performance of low-slope and steep-slope roofing systems after major hurricanes (sustained winds of 95 mph or greater) make landfall in populated areas of the continental United States. Teams were deployed to investigate conditions of roofs in the areas impacted by Hurricane Michael in the Gulf Coast landfall regions of Florida and surrounding areas. The report covers the investigations of October 25-26, 2018. Information on the damage encountered, including photos and specific information, can also be found in the unbiased report.
