Spray Foam Distributors of New England To Host Bayer AIP Training Sessions

WOODSTOCK, NH – April 11, 2014 – Spray Foam Distributors of New England (SFDONE) announced that they will be hosting a monthly session of the Bayer Application Information Program (AIP) during the months of April, May, and June.

These AIP sessions will take place at SFDONE's facility in Woodstock, New Hampshire. The first of which will take place on April 15-17; followed by another session on May 13-15; and then a third session will be held from June 17-19.

The AIP is an SPFA-accredited program for materials and equipment that provides participants with a hands-on opportunity to spray foam, learn spraying techniques, and maintain spray foam equipment. The program was specifically designed to provide technical knowledge and experience that will assist the attending spray foam contractors when they face challenges regarding polyurethane chemistry, application of materials, or spray equipment.

In order to provide the AIP program, SFDONE had to satisfy its prerequisites, which included completing the CPI Safety and Health on-line training and the Bayer MaterialScience Applicator Fundamental Program. Additionally, SFDONE satisfied OSHA's requirement of having a safety and respirator program in order to proceed with AIP training.

Throughout the three-day program, participants will be informed about current health and safety guidelines, building codes, thermal and ignition barriers, and proper equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

"We have had an unbelievable response with Bayer's Applicator Information Program here at our facility," said SFDONE's George Spanos. "We have had dozens of SPF applicators come and participate in the program and everyone from newbies to seasoned professionals learn something new."

Spanos added that SFDONE is currently working with Bayer MaterialScience to develop a condensed version of the AIP program called the In-Field AIP, which is one-day version of the three-day program that focuses on bringing seasoned applicators up to speed with current guidelines, reoccupy guidelines, and building codes.
