Spray Foam Roof Specialist Strives To Provide Success to Contractors Nationwide

LINCOLN, MO – August 13, 2014 – The combination of spray polyurethane foam and a protective layer of coating has proved to be an effective waterproofing roof system. Sam Yoder is a longtime believer in the performance of this winning application, which inspired him to augment his existing contracting business. Yoder's Roofing Service (YRS) transitioned from being only a roofing contractor to also being a supplier of spray foam and quality roof coatings. Although his supplying duties take up most of his time, Yoder is not afraid to get his hands dirty from time to time, which is why YRS has crews available for spray foam roof system installations in Missouri, Indiana, and Kentucky. If his company is not available for a roofing job, Yoder refers the customer to one of the contractors that form part of his network.

"I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty," said Yoder. "Even though I still install roofing systems, my referrals constitute the bulk of my business."
Yoder noted that that the transition from contracting work has freed up time that he now uses to grow his supplier business. For every product he provides, he receives a commission from Conklin.

"I used to work from dawn to dusk before, whereas now I'm helping other contractors succeed," said Yoder. "My motto is that the more successful they are, they more successful I will be."

YRS' supplier services include preparing their customers with technical and hands-on field training. Through Conklin, YRS provides a two-day training program that covers optimal roofing practices and safety. After the program is completed, YRS provides on-site assistance during the contractor's first roof job.

"It doesn't end after we help them with their first job, my job as their supplier is to establish a long and fruitful relationship with them." said Yoder.

YRS provides an array of different coating products for single-ply, fabric reinforced, membrane coating, and metal roof systems for new construction and restoration settings. Although Yoder deems these roof systems as highly efficient, spray foam roofing is what he's truly passionate about.

"Spray foam roofing systems have an added value for customers that want better insulation in their buildings," said Conklin. "It produces fast-acting results and performs in an ideal manner. An SPF system is also the best to use when it comes to irregular roofs, meaning that if a roof contains many protrusions such as pipes coming through the roof, spray foam has the ability to self-flash and close up these protrusions where leaking may occur."

YRS also supplies Conklin's spray polyurethane foam for interior applications, recognizing SPF's insulation ability to seal a building's envelope.

Yoder insists that job safety during roofing applications is of the utmost importance. Whether it comes from using harnesses, safety line perimeters, and/or safety monitoring by the crew, Yoder's team stresses the use to fall protection during their training program.
Looking ahead, Yoder looks to continue growing his network of customers by keeping YRS consistent in their relationship building and overall professionalism.

"I want to include more and more people to my team, and I want to learn from those who are more successful than me so that I can get there too," said Yoder.

Currently, YRS' network exceeds 200 people spread out across the U.S., some of which have over 25 years of experience in the roofing business. Yoder notes that one of the keys to his success is being able to pick up the phone and call his team members that are readily available to troubleshoot any issues, wherever they may be.
