Three Weeks Until The ABAA Conference & Trade Show

ORLANDO, FL – March 4, 2014 – The Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) Conference will host their 2014 Conference & Trade Show in three weeks time. This will be the third year in a row the ABAA conference has taken place. It will provide a chance for attendees like general contractors, design professionals, consultants, testing labs, and air barrier contractors to network and interact, as well as partake in various scheduled activities. An opening reception, daily lunches, and conference breakfast will be included daily for attendees and companions.

The event is scheduled to take place from March 25-27 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The three-day conference will be comprised of different facets such as different sessions and workshops, training, the exhibit hall, outdoor live demonstrations, the ABAA Contractor Wall of Fame, and the ABAA Accredited Contractor Awards.

Sessions & Workshops

Three comprehensive learning tracks and workshops will take place throughout the event: Installation of Air Barriers, Contractor Sessions, and Design Professional Training. There will be several speakers covering different topics for each track. Chief among the topics will be an SPFA Spray Foam Certification session conducted by an SPFA Representative during the Installation of Air Barriers track.

Training

During the conference, training will be offered to fulfill certifications for ABAA Installer, ABAA Auditor, WUFI Passive, and Blower Door Technician. Classroom and hands-on training will be given to all participants.

Exhibit Hall

According to the ABAA, this year's Exhibit Hall is set to be bigger and better than ever. The exhibit hall will be located at the heart of the Rosen Hotel, so that exhibitors can have maximum exposure for their booths and their products. The exhibitors will include manufacturers of air barrier materials and application equipment. Building enclosure consulting companies and testing lab companies will also be exhibiting. To ensure that foot traffic and exposure is ideal, lunch will also be served in the exhibit hall for exhibitors and attendees.

ABAA Contractor Wall of Fame

During the event, ABAA will be displaying an ABAA-specified job Wall of Fame, which will showcase unique projects over the years. Contractors' names, job details, and pictures of their work will be displayed on the wall, which will be found in the Exhibit Hall.

Outdoor Live Product Demonstration

One of the new developments of the 2014 ABAA Conference & Trade Show will be that exhibitors will also have the opportunity to showcase their products in their booths outdoors. Four tents will be set up in the parking lot of the Rosen Plaza Hotel to host 20-30 minute demonstrations.

ABAA Accredited Contractor Awards

ABAA will once again recognize its Accredited Contractors who continually complete quality work. The awards will be presented during the conference's reception and they will be based on demerit points.
