Titan Introduces Helix FR28 Spray Foam System

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — October 10, 2014 — Titan proudly introduces the new Helix™ FR28 spray foam system. Featuring Titan's exclusive SureFire™ heating system and electronically integrated proportioning, the Helix is the industry's most advanced system for applying polyurethane foams that require consistent, accurate material temperatures, and precise ratio control.

The Helix FR28 proportioner is the first and only system with electronically controlled proportioning, which enables continual communication between pumps – communicating back and forth more than 60 times per revolution. It has a smart connect dual pump system that precisely meters the A and B component, improving accuracy by 3 to 5 percent for increased yield and chemical performance. For the most demanding coatings, the Helix's VisComp viscosity calibration tool makes it possible to control and fine tune the system, providing a true 1-to-1 ratio. The Helix FR28 system is also 33 percent lighter than most comparable equipment, making it easier to transport.

 The Helix's SureFire heating system provides active heat throughout the entire system – at the pump, through the hose and all the way up to the gun where the temperature can be verified and adjusted. When compared to competitive one-pass heaters, SureFire's wrap-around design has a larger surface area, creating greater transfer of heat while using less power. In addition, the heating rod is completely isolated from the coating, so there is no failure from chemical or atmospheric exposure when run dry and it's easy to change wattage and make repairs without opening the system. Heater blocks are easily customizable from 3 kw to 18 kw.
