David Pratt Posted: Dec 27, 2019 03:44 PM	Adding pigment to closed cell? Hey guys I have a local competitor that has been adding pigment of some kind to his c.c. foam. I've never considered doing this but this year I've had probably 15 different customers asking why I don't offer to tint their foam. My response usually includes a discussion about ignition barriers and painting after the fact. Does anyone else besides my competitor add pigment to their foam?

He did eventually get caught but other than that no. I know here in Canada the inspectors are trained in the manufacturers colours to know what is certified and whats not. I don't think it would be an option up here.
