blocks of foam removed in attic -- what to do with "holes"?
My sprayfoam application is being tested and there are now blocks of foam removed in different areas of the attic. What is the forum's experience with how to seal those areas, first to limit any new gases coming from the fresh cuts and second to offer some insulation from the new "hot spots" of exposed ceiling? I have thought of cutting some conventional insulation and sticking it in the holes and then taping plastic over it. Thoughts, friends?

Thanks!

The holes, if they are small can be filled with a gap sealer type single component foam available at your local hardware store. If the holes are large (more than 6 inches in diameter), foam kits can be used to seal them. They are available from foam distributors around the country. There are a few brands, check out spray foam.com for manufacturers of the kit foams. A few manufacturers include Dow, RHH, Clayton Corp
