Condensation on polebarn
Mason, This is Jesse in North Dakota, we spoke a couple of years ago about creating a fire suppression system. Anyway new problem, kind of a perfect storm, but I believe it can be done. Spraying a 60x80 metal building. Sprayed walls first a couple of days ago, it was -5 outside. Dropped a 40x60 tarp down to create a thermal barrier. At that time had no effect it was chilly inside. The product sprayed out acceptably. Yesterday was +30 and we battled condensation all day, couldn't spray at all. Was warmer inside. I have some ideas, but some input would help.

If you can heat the wall you are spraying then it would not have moisture condense on it. Once you have an inch or more, it should insulate it enough to spray more foam. Maybe a combination of a powered electric heater aimed at the wall with large fans to circulate the air. The heater I am thinking of looks like a fat salamander heater but is electric rather than propane or kerosene. |
