foam in eaves
raised rafter ties to do vaulted cieling. wondering about the corner where the roof overhangs the house sides. 1. was gonna just board them up and spray foam over the board. 2. i doubt i should but do i stuff insulation if i board it then spray over board. 3. do i not board it up and spray foam in the cavity? |

Block it off and spray the foam on your board, but make sure you can get enough foam for the required r value. I wouldnt fill the eave if thats what you meant that is just wasting foam. |

You can board off the space with EPS or other rigid board. But be sure to seal the area off where the walls connect to the ceiling with foam. You don't want the air from the interior of the house to infiltrate the space where it would not be insulated. I would probably need a diagram to be sure I am on the same page. |

I can send you some detail drawings from my BASF Toolbox if you send me your email address to airpro@gotsky.com It will give you a better idea of want you want than can be explained here in print. Wish I could post the pdf here. EPS is a good choice or the white coffee cup foam will also work. Airpro |
