Heated Hose Cover Material Options?
Does anyone have any experience with heated hose covering materials/methods other than the "snake-skin" that comes stock on the hoses?I find this product snags on things inside homes, but when we cover it with tape, it no longer slides easily & requires a lot of extra work to move the hose around... |

we have one rig on which we used old firefighters hose to cover our heated hose , this one is used on our rugged, industrial spray-jobs.. just a tought.. josh |

I agree with you on the "snake skin" stuff, I'm not sure what the idea behind that was. Plus it always seems to be full of static electricity which is the last thing I need around well heads. I wrapped stretch wrap over top of this to help keep the heat in and duct tape over that, and it seems to slide quite freely. Be careful when purchasing duct tape, there are many brands out there that are just garbage. Make sure it is a good brand name as they are much heavier then the bargain ones. Gorrilla duct tape. Very thick but somewhat expensive. |
