Hot Pipes
Mason....example; small ranch walkout (out in boonies) 8" walls, wants R30 in walls. Is going to have a solar powered hot water heater. Pipe will probably hit 200deg. Will foam burn if sprayed on or around this pipe? I wasn't sure how to answer.

Sprayfoam begins to char and lose its physical properties at around 200 degrees F. (note; formulas vary and some foams may have higher temperature limits, contact your supplier for their recommendations)

To be safe wrap the pipe with another insulation then spray the foam. This should get the substrate temperature that the foam is sprayed to under 200 degrees.
