IF limestone is dry can I spray foam on it and what are my chances of it adhering? Are there coatings I could use prior to spraying foam? Or should I just forget the job? Anybody?

Spraying onto Limestone is perfectly fine. Done 100's of them. And the effect you get when its done helps promote future projects. I had a customer go from a 50% heat loss down to 7% after the foam was applied. And only because i couldn't get to one area of the room. Have fun... |

...just remember,, needs to be covered with a thermal barrier if in a habitabal space... ignition barrier if in a non-access crawl or attic... but it does work well... |

Iginition and/or thermal barrier will depend on the foam you use. Some products have passed the SWRI Attic and Crawlspace test and do not need an ignition or thermal barrier. Check with your foam manufacturer |

what manufacturers are you aware of that you can spray without coating? |

Be wary of the foams rated for attics and crawlspaces without a thermal barrier. They are allowed to be left uncovered if the space will be used strictly for access to mechanical systems only. If the space is used for storage, or any other reasons, then they are not allowed to be left uncovered. |
