New Home Florida
I'm building a stilt home in a high wind zone, Florida. I want to use closed cell spray foam in walls, flooring and attic. It's going to have a metal roof. Is it correct to have an unvented attic and closed soffetts? Is the underside of the roof sprayed as well?

Hi,

Closed cell foam is the way to go in your high wind zone. No only will you benifit from the air barrier properties of the foam, but also the added structural benifits of the foam. You are correct, close the soffits, gable and ridge vents and spray to the underside of the roof deck.

You will love an unvented attic. Very efficient and very strong.
