Posted: Feb 03, 2006 06:09 PM	Just getting into the industry, first and foremost good luck it can be a crazy biz. Both frustrating and rewarding. I quess no different than any other biz. As far as equiptment is concerned if your main focus is going to be on residential insulation, you can't go wrong with a Graco E-20 Graco Hose and a Fusion. A generator will be essential, as well as 200 ft. of hose and a whip. Regardless of what others may say a nice compressor would be beneficial, but if budget is a major factor spend it on the generator hose and whip. The middle of the road oiled IR will be just fine. Also if you are going to be sticking with mostly one type of foam such as rigid or open cell. 30+ yrs in biz says you cant beat pressure tanks, Pumps are just one more thing to worry about on your rig. As far as material the main thing is a good relationship with your supplier . Some do seem a little better in certain applications.

That is how you feed the proportioner, no drum pumps in the truck, no changing out drums on the job, just show up and spray. George

No,
