2012 SPFA Convention & Expo Draws Near
ALEXANDRIA, VA - January 11, 2012 - The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) is pleased to announce the organization’s 25th Anniversary SPFA Convention and Expo, to be held at the InterContinental Hotel in Dallas January 31st – February 2nd. This gathering is a must for all of those in the spray foam industry: contractors, manufacturers, distributors, the press, and industry consultants. As the spray foam business grows dramatically, the SPFA convention leads the way in providing both networking opportunities for attendees and courses for accreditation and continuing education.
A major focus of the Convention is sponsorship of courses that allow contractors to receive accreditation. Accreditation provides industry members with up-to-date training in the application of spray polyurethane foams and coatings, and it helps maintain quality standards that spray foam customers can rely on when selecting a contractor. Available courses cover topics ranging from spray fundamentals to inspection and safety. Look at the SPFA Web site for information about specific courses.
For spray foam contractors’ accreditation provides several benefits:
- Credentials —Accreditation lets contractors quote and execute spray foam projects that require education and experience as a prerequisite. SPFA credentials allow contractors to stand out in the crowd.
- Trained Personnel —Contractors can be assured that prospective employees have the necessary skills and experience to perform well on the job.
- Prestige —Individuals and companies that have accreditation are recognized and respected as committed professionals.
As part of a growing industry, spray foam businesses must set high standards for performance. During the Convention and Expo we will reflect on the challenges and opportunities for the future as we make SPF the insulation and roofing material of choice.
The Convention’s emphasis on training and best practices will make every professional SPF contractor the best they can be. Breakout sessions will address safety and regulation by federal agencies. We will look at the materials, tools, and skills of the trade that each professional contractor needs to be successful. Our annual Contractor Excellence Awards Program showcases member capabilities, and the sold-out exhibit floor will feature the best product and service providers the industry has to offer. About the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance
Founded in 1987 originally as the Polyurethane Foam Contractors Division, the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) is the voice, along with the educational and technical resource, for the spray polyurethane foam industry. Our experienced staff and member-comprised committees provide a wide variety of services to the industry. SPFA develops tools designed to educate and influence the construction industry with the positive benefits of spray polyurethane foam roofing, insulation, and climate control systems.
Although the SPFA is a completely independent trade association, we have a strong relationship with the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Center for Polyurethanes Industry (CPI). These groups have assisted the SPFA to better serve the spray polyurethane foam industry's business needs on local and statewide issues.
