All in One and One for All
Spray Foam Magazine – Show Issue 2022 – JobPro Technology was founded in 2007 by Robin Reavis and Jeff Carter. Both Reavis and Carter did a great deal of research in the first two years in business and determined that there was a significant need for a web-based bid and job management software solution for any type of sub-contractor. They discovered there were a lot of desktop applications in the marketplace but web-based technology at that time was rare. In 2009, they entered the insulation segment of construction with the goal to provide a “best in class” software solution to contractors that wanted mobility and access to their system 24/7 wherever they were located. The Spray Foam Magazine team caught up with Reavis to see how business is going and what developments have occurred in the last year.
What has been JobPro Technology’s biggest development since the pandemic hit?
Robin Reavis: Our team shifted to a work-from-home environment, utilizing tools to improve communication between our employees without being face to face. Additionally, we have trained and onboarded many new customers via webinars and onsite training events over the past year and a half. In these cases, the owner’s number one goal was to get his employees on one “tried and true” software solution that would help him run his business despite the pandemic challenges.
Have you noticed a shift in the kind of requests you are receiving from contractors since the pandemic?
RR: Many contractors have been and continue to be impacted by the material shortages and price increases from manufacturers. Our support team has been able to help our customers by quickly updating pricing and costing in their system across the board, focusing on certain categories, or individual items.
Have you added any new features to JobPro in the last two years? If so, what?
RR: We have added the ability to provide customers with upgrade or downgrade options on their proposals, AIA Invoicing, Improvements to widely used features in JobPro, including our eSign and Inventory. All this comes with the additional ability to split commissions between salespeople for a job, plus a new Top Customer and Top Product Report. In all, we added close to 100 new features in 2021.
How has JobPro’s lead, bid, and job management system helped contractors during the pandemic?
RR: It has allowed users to continue their work remotely, helped owners reevaluate and improve their process and workflow and enabled owners and their team the ability to generate more proposals in the marketplace and process more jobs by their crews.
What are you most looking forward to in 2022?
RR: Our new Insulate America partnership with their membership and expanding our outreach to all areas of the United States and onsite training events.
How can JobPro help spray foam insulation business owners?
RR: Bringing their company on to an “all in one” lead, bid, and job management software solution that continues to improve with new features. Eliminating multiple tools, they currently use (Excel, chalkboard/google calendars, paper files, redundant manual entries etc.) JobPro can also help them better understand their profitability by job at a quick glance, understand where money is being lost, where costs can be accounted for, and where profitability can be maximized. Last, but not least, JobPro can allow these owners to use and adopt a software that many progressive insulation contractors have been using for the past decade.
What support do you offer someone who has just signed up with JobPro?
RR: JobPro’s support team is committed to helping customers from sign up, through training, and anytime thereafter. Customers can email or call and expect a quick response. »
How would you convince a business owner who is set in their ways to modernize their work systems by working with JobPro?
RR: We understand that business owners and their employees cannot stop nor afford to slow down their business. Our training staff is experienced in helping with the transition with minimal impact. We are very open to connecting our current customers with business owners to have a “one on one” conversation with them to ask questions, etc.
Can JobPro modify their systems to fit a business owner’s needs?
RR: Much of JobPro is configurable. We work directly with owners to configure their workflow with statuses, triggers, and alerts all the way through the job. JobPro also employs a development team to accommodate custom requests not currently in the system.
Would you say that “simplify” is the key word to any productive system?
RR: Yes, simplify your workflow by using one system, simplify your customer’s experience by allowing them to easily understand and approve work, simplify your staff’s workload by giving them a structured environment to complete their tasks.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
RR: We are very fortunate to provide a comprehensive web-based software solution in an industry that is growing at a rapid pace year over year. We have many customers that range in size from six employees to 300+ employees and it is rewarding to hear their positive feedback on how JobPro helps them maximize their profitability and growth aspirations.
