BPI Accepting Applications for Standards Technical Committees
MALTA, NY – August 23, 2016 - The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) continually reviews and updates technical standards used by the residential energy retrofit industry. BPI's Standards Technical Committees (STC) develop standards in an open and fair manner in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved BPI standards development procedures. Currently, BPI is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving on the Multifamily STC. Interested parties should submit an application by September 22, 2016.
The STCs are appointed to review and take action on proposals and comments from the general public, with updates to the standards made on a regular basis. BPI is currently seeking to fill vacancies on the Multifamily STC, which is addressing ANSI/BSR BPI-1105-S-201x Standard Practice for Multifamily Energy Auditing. BPI seeks applications from stakeholders willing to invest the time and energy to develop the technical standards our industry needs. Prospective nominees' applications will be assessed to ensure a balance of interest categories and representation by technical expertise, geographic location, experience in the building sciences and willingness to serve. New members will be appointed to a term of up to three years.
If you would like to join BPI's Multifamily Standards Technical Committee and help craft the standards used by the residential energy retrofit community, please fill out the Application for Membership on Standards Technical Committee form and submit it electronically by September 22, 2016, in accordance with the instructions on the form.
