BPI Sponsors 16-City Proof is Possible Tour

MALTA, N.Y. – December 8, 2015 – The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) announced its sponsorship of Corbett and Grace Lunsford's Proof is Possible U.S. Tour - a 16-city road show aiming to educate and entertain homeowners about the comfort, health, safety and energy saving benefits of home performance upgrades.

As part of its sponsorship deal, BPI will fund the Lunsfords' Home Diagnosis television episodes for the first five participating BPI GoldStar Contractors that sponsor a city on the tour. Contractors that sponsor a city put both their city and company on the map by being featured in the TV episode, and also benefit from local events and marketing efforts that associate the company with quality energy audits and upgrades.

"This home performance road show is the first of its kind and BPI is thrilled to support such a creative venture," said Larry Zarker, BPI CEO. Grace and Corbett Lunsford created the not-for-profit Proof is Possible U.S. Tour to help showcase measured home performance through a series of workshops and open house tours in cities all across the country. The Lunsfords will travel in an energy efficient tiny house on wheels known as the Tiny Lab, demonstrating how viewing the house as a system can increase comfort and cut wasteful spending on energy costs.

The first BPI GoldStar Contractor to accept the challenge was GreenLife Energy Solutions, who brings the tour to Atlantic City, New Jersey. "We're proud to be a part of the Proof is Possible Tour here in Atlantic City," said GreenLife Owner Ed Ryan. "I enjoy educating customers and employees about home performance. For example, there's still a lot of work to do here after Hurricane Sandy. I take it as my responsibility to get the word out about energy efficiency and indoor air quality."

Jeff Flaherty and his team at Wise Home Energy also accepted the challenge to bring Grace and Corbett to Rochester, New York. "We're thrilled to bring the Proof is Possible Tour to Rochester. The average person still doesn't realize what goes on in their home and how it affects their health, comfort and finances. This tour will bring building science to the masses," said Flaherty. "We're grateful that BPI recognizes and supports this special opportunity to promote home performance on a whole new level."

The Proof is Possible Tour will also stop in Princeton, New Jersey thanks to BPI GoldStar Contractor SG Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC.
