Canada Spray Foam Supplier Holds End of Seminar Event With Special Appearances
WATERLOO, ONTARIO – June 24, 2011 – Canadian-based Polyurethane Foam Systems Inc., (PFSI) a spray foam company based in Waterloo, Ontario, recently held their “Bear-B-Q” event coinciding with one of the company’s spray foam training seminars this past week.
Beginning on June 13, 2011 and concluding on June 17, 2011 PFSI held a week long training course on the education of spray foam application. The courses taught trainees the importance of properly applying spray foam insulation, the chemistry and physics of spray foam, and also safety courses on the handling of spray foam chemicals. Along with the basic application, technique, and safety, the course also covered machine operations, settings, procedures, and troubleshooting.
As the seminar came to a close, the company put together their “Bear-B-Q” event with numerous personnel from PFSI present at the event.
“At our Bear-B-Q we try to have hands-on demonstrations of canned foam, videos of spray foam, and also invite professionals from our isocyanate provider to answer any additional questions that our trainees may have,” said PFSI’s Judy Komer. “We also invite other customers, consultants and professionals in the industry to network and provide answers to the many questions that can arise with regard to polyurethane foam and to provide an added interest to our day.”
One such figure that made an appearance at the “Bear-B-Q” was 30-year racing veteran and Polar Express Insulation contractor Bill Lassaline who arrived at the site in the #22 racecar with the company’s advertisement displayed on the hood. Dan Clayton, president of Polyurethane Foam Systems comments, “I was proud to see that a contractor used the money supplied to do advertising for us.” PFSI assists with sponsorships not only with Lassaline’s racecar, but also in minor hockey and even in bands and floats for the annual Canadian National Oktoberfest.
There was some “revving and raving” as trainees and guests took close looks at the authentic racecar. “At one point, one of our sales representatives tried getting into the car,” said Clayton. “Since there were no doors he was forced to go through the window. I remember he was screaming ‘How the hell am I going to get out of this window! Where is the butter?!’ Other than that everyone had a great time.”
PFSI is currently planning on having another training session beginning on September 12, 2011 with an expected conclusion date to be on September 16, 2011 in Waterloo, Ontario. For anyone who is interested in attending the training seminars, please visit the PFSI website or contact the PSFI offices for more information.
