DC-315 Continues To Set The Bar In The Alternative Barrier Coating Market
ELEMNDORF, TX – November 3, 2011 – International Fireproof Technology, Inc. and Paint to Protect recently announced that they successfully passed the NSF/ANSI 51(2009) Food Equipment, Materials-Formulation Review and Extraction Testing using DC-315 Water Based Fireproof Paint.
The test sample evaluations were conducted at the Intertek laboratory located in Columbus, OH between April 11, 2011 and September 30, 2011. The DC315 Water Based Fireproof Paint does comply with the requirements of NSF/ANSI51(2009) Food Equipment, Materials-Formulation Review and Extraction Testing.
“This is another milestone for our DC315 formula and may give a competitive edge in ceiling and roof applications for our foam partners," said Gary Wolfe, Executive Vice President of IFTI.
A press release from IFTI stated that DC315 is not a “washable coating”, but is a great option in roof or ceilings applications in applicable warehouses or units where in many instances code officials insist on using a NSF/ANSI 51 rated solution. This rating is only applicable in specific applications; please contact your sales representative for additional information before proposing this potential solution.
In addition, DC315 has already successfully passed CAL1350, as defined in the CA DHS Standard Practice thus, the testing requirements are met to qualify the product as a low-emitting material in the “Collaborative for High Performance Schools” rating system. DC315 VOC emissions have also passed the very stringent AMQD - VOC standards in California.
DC315 is best known as the most trusted and tested “Alternative Barrier” coating in the spray foam market. “DC 315 offers a one-coat, one-product single solution for Ignition and Thermal Barrier for the foam industry," said Mr. Wolfe.
DC 315 being water-based latex paint, it applies like regular latex paint using an airless sprayer and offers easy clean up.
