Dow Integral Skin Solutions Demonstrate Superior Processing and Outstanding Performance Ahead of EPA Deadline
MIDLAND, MI – December 13, 2016 – With the impending Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) January 1, 2017 deadline prohibiting the use of high-Global Warming Potential (GWP) blowing agents, integral skin manufacturers and brand owners are urged to convert early in order to avoid fines and production delays. The Dow Chemical Company is committed to delivering high-performing, customized integral skin foam systems that may lower GWP by up to 99.9 percent while sustaining the comfort level and durability of previous polyurethane systems.
“We have conducted various tests and received extremely positive feedback from our customers in the conversion process to implement the new HFO blowing agents in our integral skin foam formulations,” said Scott Snyder, marketing manager for Dow Polyurethanes. “It’s crucial that our customers convert early to allow time for testing to perfect the new systems.”
