Editorial Development Manager Brings Fresh Approach to Spray Foam Magazine, SprayFoam.com
JUPITER, FL–November 6, 2014–Spray Foam Magazine and SprayFoam.com are proud to announce Tawny Gaines has joined the team as Editorial Development Manager. Gaines will be working with the editorial department to develop fresh content for readers and new opportunities for advertisers.
“We’re extremely excited to have Tawny on board with Spray Foam Magazine and SprayFoam.com,” said Editor-in Chief Ryan Spencer. “She brings a lot to the table in terms of her track record and her passion for media.”
Gaines has over a decade of experience in media and in the construction industry. On the media side, Gaines co-produced the Travel Channel’s Emmy-nominated Discover America series, while her time with one of the largest rigging suppliers in the country gave her ample experience interfacing with construction and industrial markets.
“I’ve been able to tie in my background in production with construction,” said Gaines, who further explained that combination is a perfect fit for the niche in which Spray Foam Magazine and SprayFoam.com reside. With those two lines of experience working in tandem, Gaines and the editorial staff have set ambitious objectives for the future.
“I would like to see this magazine not only grow in readership, but grow in the amount of print issues we publish,” Gaines said. “I’d like to see us maybe even roll into the television arena some day.”
With lofty goals come new perspectives on how to achieve them, and some new editorial and advertising initiatives are intended to put both the magazine and the website in stronger positions than they are already.
“To me, advertising has changed in the new millennium,” Gaines explained. “When you can incorporate a good message or a good story with an underwriter, everybody wins.”
Win-win situations will certainly be the new paradigm going forward for Spray Foam Magazine and SprayFoam.com, and we encourage companies within the spray foam industry to reconsider how they leverage their relations with media.
“I really think you need to take a fresh look at us,” said Gaines. “We are great now, but wait until you see what’s coming, it’s going to be amazing.”
