Gaco Western Offers Huge Promotion On New GacoFireStop
SEATTLE, WA - July 8, 2011 - Gaco Western is offering a 20 percent off promotion to first-time customers on its new GacoFireStop spray foam insulation, which promises to save both time and money.
GacoFiresStop (GFS) is unique from other open cell spray foams because it does not require an extra ignition barrier coating. Up until now, the ignition barrier coating has been applied after the foam insulation was installed in the attics and crawl spaces, and cured. After that, it can be difficult to measure the coverage of the additional ignition barrier.
Generally, this second step to foam application is lengthy and spotty but with GFS, it can be avoided altogether.
GFS goes into any attic or crawlspace with the same sprayability as regular open-cell spray foam.
GFS meets all code requirements for attics and crawl spaces and recently passed the AC 377 Appendix X test for flammability twice, exceeding the minimum time of 4 minutes and 18 seconds without a coating. The foam in the first test had been shaved but the second test proved that GacoFireStop can be used with or without trimming, and without any additional coatings.
GacoFireStop’s ignition barrier is part of the foam so contractors and builders do not have to prove a required thickness of intumescent coating on top of the foam. Additionally, it is easier for code officials to inspect and pass so contractors can quickly move onto their next job.
The proprietary formula includes Gaco’s Air Seal Advantage, which is a single, solid polyurethane barrier that offers energy savings up to 40 percent.
