Graco Receives Silver Stevie Award for Integrated Reactor Proportioning System

MINNEAPOLIS, MN  – September 25, 2013 – Graco Inc.and its Integrated Reactor® Proportioner took silver in the Best New Product or Service for Industrial Products & Services category in The 2013 American Business Awards at an awards ceremony in San Francisco Monday. The award recognized the integrated system for its unique innovations in energy efficiency and co-generation technology. Graco Senior Product Engineering Manager Mark Weinberger accepted the award on behalf of the Reactor development team. 

"Energy efficiency is a global concern these days," said Weinberger, "and one of our goals was to save the end-user money on diesel fuel with this system. We accomplished that and it's gratifying for the team to be recognized for the work that led up to this technology."
 
More than 3,200 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.  More than 150 members of nine specialized judging committees determined Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging.  
 
The Integrated Reactor also won the 2013 People's Choice Stevie Award for Favorite New Product in the Industrial Product category. The nationwide public vote was conducted this summer, with the highest number of votes deciding the winners in 34 product categories.
