IFTI Announces Major Product Update for DC315
IRVINE, CA–September 5, 2014–IFTI announced today an important change to the color and viscosity of its industry leading DC315. Starting September 15, 2014, ALL DC315 orders will ship in its new color, ICE GRAY.
IFTI is very excited to make this announcement. As the industry leader in Alternative Thermal and Ignition Barrier Coatings, IFTI continues to refine its product in order to meet the ever-changing SPF marketplace.
IFTI has been shipping ICE GRAY to select customers worldwide for over six months and the new color has earned a 100% thumbs up from every contractor who has used it. IFTI appreciates the feedback and suggestions sent in from across the country over the last six months, from its SPF manufactures, contractors, and AHJ's (Authority Having Jurisdiction), including Fire Marshals.
Why the Changes?
- Opacity, or the transparency of a film, is greatly improved avoiding over-spraying to cover foam color.
- ICE GRAY is much more visible, which allows for better yield, as you can see areas that have already been coated.
- ICE GRAY does not show dirt the way a white coating does.
- Code officials and AHJ's are more assured that the right product was used on the job.
- ICE GRAY is a light color that will keep your finished space bright.
- The new lower (thinner) viscosity makes application easier and assists in reducing over spraying of DC315, ensuring a better yield per gallon.
- IFTI's new viscosity is still a single-coat application, including ceiling, with no bagging, sagging or dripping.
IFTI is confident that its customers will find the new ICE GRAY a substantial improvement to its industry-leading DC315. The only thing you should notice is easier application and a better yield on your jobs.
DC315 will still be available in White and Dark Gray by special order.
