Johns Manville’s Corbond® Open-Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam Achieves New Code Compliance
DENVER, CO – March 10, 2017 – Johns Manville (JM), a global building products manufacturer and a Berkshire Hathaway company, announced that JM Corbond® oc SPF has met requirements for application without a prescriptive ignition barrier in sealed unoccupied attics for commercial and residential projects, increasing the versatility of JM’s complete line of spray foam insulation products.
By meeting requirements for application without an ignition barrier in attics, Johns Manville’s easily applied and high performing low density open-cell spray foam can now be installed more cost effectively than ever before. The new approval eliminates the time and money required to apply a separate fire protective coating. The achievement is detailed in a code compliant research report, CCRR-1079, from Intertek.
