Northeast Spray Foam Conference Unveils New Equipment, New Foam and Trains SPF Applicators
LINCOLN, NEW HAMPSHIRE – May 17, 2011 – Spray Foam Contractors from all over New England converged on the Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, NH last week to attend 4 days of SPF Training, Accreditation, Marketing Seminars and New Product Presentations.
The event was hosted by Sprayfoam Distributors of New England, a leading distributor of Bayseal® spray foam and coatings, and Graco® spray equipment.
George Spanos, owner of Sprayfoam Distributors of New England and the organizer of the event, tells us “We are extremely pleased with the success and turnout of this year’s event. We had over 40 contractors completing training on building envelope, roofing, and safety. As a result, more than 125 SPFA accreditation certificates will be issued from the 4 days of spray foam training.”
SPFA Certified Training was conducted by Mason Knowles and the SprayFoam Educational Institute. Knowles covered topics such as insulating the building envelope, spray foam roofing and coatings, safety and sales and marketing.
Doug Commette from SprayFoam.com was also on hand to present a 2-hour course to spray foam contractors on “Marketing Spray Foam in the Digital Age.” Additional presentations were made on infra-red thermal cameras by Monroe Infrared Technology. Bayer MaterialScience made several presentations on general spray foam safety issues and their new contractor verification and certification programs. Graco presented and demonstrated a new non-heated foam machine and a new skid mounted spray foam machine and generator all in one.
The feedback from the contractors and other suppliers in attendance was extremely positive and strong. One of the spray foam contractors at the event told SprayFoam.com, “George Spanos is one of the best spray foam service technicians in the business. Every time I am around him, I learn more and more about proper spray foam application and equipment operation techniques. I can’t wait to see what is in store for next year's event.”
George Spanos also took SprayFoam.com on a tour of his brand new facility in nearby Woodstock, NH. This new 10,000 square foot building will serve as Sprayfoam Distributors of New England’s warehouse with a huge inventory of spare parts, technical service center and spray rig fabrication. Appropriately enough, the building uses Bayseal closed cell spray foam insulation throughout the interior walls and ceiling. On the exterior, it has a polyurea waterproof coating around the foundation.
