Oklahoma Spray Foam Company Owner Talks About Insulation Jobs
HELENA, OK – August 3, 2011 – Located in Northern Oklahoma, Kool Foam has been in the spray foam business for nearly half a decade. Cory Boehs, current owner and founder of Kool Foam talks with Sprayfoam.com about the start-up of his company.
“I started Kool Foam about four years ago,” Boehs said. “Prior to working with spray foam, I worked with my father in his construction company.”
Following the years working his father, Boehs opened Kool Foam in 2008. “I saw an opportunity in the spray foam industry,” he said. “Even though it sounds cliché, I love helping people lower the price of their energy bills. Since spray foam is known as a energy efficient insulation material, I felt like I would be a good fit for the industry.”
With a five-man crew, Kool Foam currently services in the northwest Oklahoma area while also working in a number of other locations throughout the southern United States. According Boehs, a lot of the company’s work comes from Ponca City, Oklahoma. “It’s about an hour away,” he said. “But we are used to the distance. We usually have to travel all over the place for jobs.”
To generate job leads all over the Oklahoma area, Kool Foam utilizes the power of Internet marketing. They recently signed up with Spray Foam Locals National Lead Generation Network. SprayFoamLocal.com is a network of regional spray foam job lead generation websites all over the United States and Canada. Kool Foam, is the exclusive marketing partner with SprayFoamOklahoma.com.
“Since advertising on Spray Foam Oklahoma Lead Generation Website," Boehs said. "Our company has seen a definite increase in job leads. We currently have future projects in bigger commercial buildings."
By advertising on Spray Foam Oklahoma, Boehs and his crew recently received a project that involved the spraying of a convenience store at a travel plaza in Hinton, Oklahoma. The job required Boehs and his team to spray the roofline of a convenience store shortly after closing hours.
“The entire space was about 3,000 square feet,” said Boehs. “It was a bit challenging because we were working with a completed building. We had to navigate through all the cash registers and aisle to work.”
After working through the night on a 14 hours shift, Boehs and the team completed the job just in time for the store’s opening. When asked about the customer’s reaction to the job, Boehs replied, “We are yet to hear from them, but I am more than confident that they will be pleased with the work we did.”
When asked about the company’s most memorable job, Boehs replied, “There were a lot. One that did stand out, however, had to be when we sprayed the walls of a restaurant that was built from the remains of an old barn.”
According to Boehs, material from a century-old barn was shipped from Michigan to Gentry, Arkansas to build a new restaurant. Boehs added, “The barn was torn down and sent to Gentry. When we arrived, we were tasked with spraying the walls inside the restaurant. The job, however, was a difficult because due to age of the frames, we could not get any foam on them. We had to very careful where we were spraying.”
6,000 square feet and two days of labor later, Boehs and his team finished the job with the customer extremely pleased. “It was a very exciting experience,” Boehs said. “Although it was a bit challenging, we always enjoy a job that provides a challenge.”
