RICOWI Meets in Orlando Florida Board of Directors Elected
ORLANDO, FL – April 22, 2016 – RICOWI held elections for the Officers of the Board of Directors at the March 10, 2016 meeting in Orlando, FL. Elected for the 2016-2018 term are: Chairman: Rick Olson, Tile Roofing Institute; Vice- Chairman David Balistreri, RCI, Inc.; and Secretary-Treasurer, Mike Ennis, SPRI. Scott Kriner of the Metal Contractors Association was elected as the the Director at Large to the Executive Committee for the 2016-2017 term. RICOWI applauded Lynne Christensen for her service as Chair of RICOWI for the 2014-2016 term. Ms. Christensen will remain on the Executive Committee as Past Chair and will continue on the Board representing the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau. Roger Morrison was also recognized for his dedication and service as the Secretary-Treasurer and as liaison to the Board for the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA). Both Ms. Christensen and Mr. Morrison will be formally recognized at the fall meeting in Boulder CO. Jason Hoerter of NCFI Polyurethanes was welcomed as the new representative to the Board for SPFA.
RICOWI's hail and wind investigation programs help to accelerate and establish new or improved industry consensus standard practices for weather design and testing where they are recognized as needed. RICOWI is accepting applications from their membership and members of their sponsoring organizations to participate in this year's hail and wind investigation events. RICOWI's fall seminar and meetings will be held Tuesday October 4-Wednesday October 5, 2016 in Boulder Colorado. A tour of the National Center for Atmospheric Research will be a highlight of the seminar.

RICOWI's active committees in Underlayment, Code, Best Practices, Moisture Control/Green, Hail Investigation, Wind Investigation, Conference and Membership are working to collect and disseminate the latest information on roof issues to the roofing community.
RICOWI is a nonprofit organization comprised of all of the major roofing associations and includes members of academia, educational and testing facilities and others involved in the science of roofing.
