Seven Weeks Until The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance's Sprayfoam 2015 Convention & Expo
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – December 9, 2014 – It’s getting closer to that time of the year when members of the spray foam industry pack their bags and gets on a plane. This time, those planes will be headed to Albuquerque, NM, where the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) will host the 2015 Sprayfoam Convention & Expo. This annual conference has been renowned as the SPF industry’s event of the year, given its full coverage of the latest SPF trends and technologies, gathering spray foam contractors and suppliers from around of the world.
The 2015 SPFA Convention & Expo will take place from January 26-29 at the newly remodeled Albuquerque Convention Center. Among this year’s highlights is the presence of Emmy-winning host of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” Ty Pennington Pennington will be the keynote speaker of the Convention, providing personal insight about spray polyurethane foam as it relates to topics such as construction, efficiency, branding, and appeal.
With an expected attendance of well over 1,000 individuals active in every segment of the SPF value chain, the overflow of the hotel is likely to sell out. The convention will feature a sold-out exhibit hall showcasing booth displays from over 90 industry organizations, manufacturers, contractors, and equipment providers.
Each day of the convention will feature different events, including SPFA PCP field and written examinations, general and breakout sessions, and a special golf tournament.
January 26-27: Pre-Convention SPFA PCP and ABAA Examinations, Golf Tournament, and Women’s Leadership Networking Reception.
SPFA will hold pre-convention certification exam preparatory courses, as well as SPFA PCP Written Examinations and Field Exams. Additionally, there will be ABAA Spray Polyurethane Foam Installer Training during both days, and the exam for the ABAA certification will be administered during the second day. During the second day, there will be two special events: a golf tournament, which will take place at the nearby award-winning Twin Warriors Golf Course, followed by a Women’s Leadership in Spray Foam Networking Reception, where women in the SPF industry will share their experiences in their respective leadership roles.
January 28: General and Breakout Sessions, Award Luncheon, Exhibit Hall, and Welcome Reception
The first day of the Sprayfoam Convention & Expo will start off with a welcome address by SPFA’s Executive Director Kurt Reisenberg, followed by the General Session, which will feature Pennington, as well as Dr. George Thompson, and SPFA’s President Dennis Vandewater. Following the General Session, there will be two Breakout Sessions, where various presenters will cover different topics of the SPF industry, including materials, project planning, roofing, safety programs, and marketing strategies. The first day will also feature the 10th Contractor Industry Excellence Awards Luncheon, in which SPFA contractor members will be honored for their trail-blazing and innovative SPF projects. To conclude the first day, there will be a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall, where attendees will be able to mingle over light hors d’oeuvres while perusing through the numerous booths of the Exhibit Hall. Additionally, there will be a session of SPFA PCP Written Exams given throughout the day.
January 29: SPFA Member Session, General and Breakout Sessions, Contractors Only Session, Exhibit Hall, and Closing Reception
The last day of the convention will start off with a special SPFA Annual Membership Business Meeting, where all SPFA members are invited to participate. After the meeting, there will be a four-hour session of PCP Written Examinations. The General Session will begin with a presentation given by IAL Consultant’s Hanne Hirsimäki of the global overview of the SPF industry. Then, the General Session will continue with an annual activity report by the SPFA Committee. There will be two more Breakout Sessions following the General Session, these Breakout Session will again feature various topics regarding the SPF industry. There will also be a brief Contractors Only Session, where SPF contractors will have a chance to discuss their thoughts and voice their concerns to the SPFA for the greater good of the industry. To bring the event to an end, there will be a Closing Reception that will include some night entertainment, allowing one final networking chance for attendees
