Spray Foam Coalition Launches New Spray Foam Benefits Website [DONT POST]
WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 26, 2011 – The Spray Foam Coalition (SFC), a new self-funded group within the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council, has launched a new public website, www.whysprayfoam.org, to communicate the benefits of spray polyurethane foam insulation and roofing.
“The Spray Foam Coalition’s new website is a user-friendly resource for anyone who wants to learn more about spray foam and why it is an excellent insulation material,” said Jim Perkins, president of SWD Urethane, who led the website development team for the Coalition. “We are providing a single destination to give the public all the basic information they need about spray foam in an easy-to-navigate format.”
The website offers information for homeowners, builders and architects about the benefits of spray foam, the different types of spray foam products and its applications in a home or building.
The new information hub can help educate individuals who have little-to-no familiarity with spray foam insulation about the basics of the products, or help an experienced builder or architect access the resources to help make decisions about incorporating spray foam into a new construction or retrofit project.
In addition to targeted information for homeowners, builder and architects, the website uses case studies, government data and industry resources to demonstrate spray foam’s key benefits, including energy efficiency, ways to save costs, building strength and improved indoor environment.
“This new website will grow and evolve as even more data about the benefits of spray foam become available,” said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. “Whysprayfoam.org will be the go-to resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the great benefits spray polyurethane foam offers.”
