Spray Foam Insulation Featured on ABC's Extreme Home Makeover
October 19, 2008 - Kiawah Island, SC - Carolina Comfort Foam and a Kiawah Island home in South Carolina was be featured on ABC's Extreme Home Makeover.
"Spray foam insulation is probably the most efficient insulation on the market today," said Bob Duke, owner of Carolina Comfort Foam.
The high efficiency is one of the major reasons why builders on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition contacted Carolina Comfort Foam to insulate the King Family's house for an upcoming episode.
"Taking something we do everyday and being able to donate it to a worthy cause just made it really special," Duke said.
According to News 4 Charleston, Crews worked for 32 straight hours spraying the foam throughout the brand new house.
"You're creating a more efficient environment at home, reducing energy, consumption, and reducing cost to buy that energy," according to Duke.
And now the King family is looking forward to years of comfort in their well insulated home.
"Most of the people watch that show for that reaction but knowing you’re part of it is going to be a special thrill," Duke told ABC News 4.
Crews built the house from July 30th until August 3rd, 2008. The episode airs this Sunday at 8 o’clock only on ABC.
