SPRAY FOAM MAGAZINE – Exciting News from Spray Foam Magazine: Our Summer 2024 Issue is Live!
Hey there Spray Foam Enthusiasts,
The Summer Olympics are here and so is the 2024 Summer Issue of Spray Foam Magazine! Join us as we safely deliver the Olympic Torch to Marseille, France on the Belem, a historic ship restored with a protective coating.
Peel back progress with us in Spain, where citrus-based coatings could potentially revolutionize the construction scene. Follow along as we jump from one climate to another and head to Canada where a company sprays underground pipes and tanks to prevent weather damage. From there, we go down under to Australia where a mashing-good time awaits, keeping potato sheds cool with SPF!
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s inside:
- OverHall: SFM joined Richard Hall of All In OverHall, LLC, in Jupiter, FL, for a day and a half to observe concrete lifting projects, including a celebrity's driveway. With a background in construction and training from Profoam Corporation., Hall's team expertly lifted sunken slabs and driveways. Their meticulous work showcased the benefits of spray foam in concrete lifting, impressing clients and the community.
- Chemistry for a Sustainable Future: Meet the inspiring women leading BASF's spray foam division! Lisa Mun, Nancy Houle, Kelly Frauenkron, and Griscelda Rodriguez share their journeys, challenges, and visions for the future. From technical development to strategic market management, their expertise and dedication are shaping the industry.
- Graduating to Efficiency: We head to Morgan State University's new Health and Human Services Building, which faced insulation challenges due to limited access. The team, including WJE, Elastochem, and Cameron Building Envelope Specialists, turned to Pour 220 foam. This innovative solution filled gaps, prevented air leaks, and maintained energy efficiency, showcasing the power of collaboration and advanced materials in construction.
- Happy to Sea You: Come take a fun trip to SeaWorld San Diego, who revamped its main entrance with two new canopies, protected by Cool-Roof Systems' specialized spray foam against Mission Bay’s harsh elements. Despite challenges, including weather delays, the project ensured durable, weather-resistant canopies. Set to open by summer 2024, the upgraded entrance promises enhanced longevity and visitor experience at the iconic park.
