Styrofoam™ Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation Now Available In Canada

MIDLAND, MI – August 1, 2011 – Dow Building Solutions is expanding coverage to Canada with the introduction of STYROFOAM™ Brand Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) CA Insulation. Canadian contractors now have access to a full line of Dow products, making Dow a total solutions manufacturer of high-quality insulation, sealants and other water-barrier products for the building envelope.

Helping to build exceptional thermal performance and moisture management, STYROFOAM™ Brand SPF CA Insulation is a two-component spray-applied polyurethane foam insulation that creates a seamless barrier against water and air. Incorporating a zero ozone-depleting blowing agent, it can be used for both new and retrofit applications. SPF is listed with the Canadian Construction Materials Centre as conforming to CAN/ULC-705.1-01; provides structural reinforcement for improved racking strength; and is available for all weather installation, allowing use on substrates as cold as -1°C (30°F).

STYROFOAM™ Brand SPF CA Insulation is available to any licensed residential and commercial contractor. Dow will work with existing SPF-certified applicators to expedite and streamline the certification process and create efficiencies for Canadian contractors. If already certified by another SPF manufacturer, contractors can contact Dow to discuss personal training needs for certification for STYROFOAM™ Brand SPF CA Insulation.
