Upgraded Heatlok® Soya HP Empowers Builders with Superior R-Value and Sustainability
BOISBRIAND, QC – May 28, 2024 – Huntsman Building Solutions’ (HBS) new enhanced version of closed-cell spray foam solution, Heatlok® Soya HP, offers architects, builders, general contractors, building owners and homeowners the best R-Value in the industry. It also provides spray foam applicators with improved performance and application in walls, roofs, foundations and under slab for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects.
Manufactured in Canada, the new Heatlok® Soya HP features a product-specific Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a tested Air Barrier System in accordance with CAN/ULC S742 as well as Radon. The hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agent is the most environmentally conscious produced to date, with zero-ozone depletion potential (ODP), and a global warming potential (GWP) equal to 1. It is also compatible with most building products and can be used in a variety of applications including Huntsman’s D-Max wall assembly, which allows for the installation of spray foam insulation from the interior of the building while managing the thermal bridging of the studs and the structure.
“As a leader in the industry, our job is to anticipate the needs of our applicators and the entire building design and construction industry, said Jean-Francois Lupien, B.Sc. Global Director of Product Management of Huntsman Building Solutions. “Architects and general contractors were looking for an upgraded product with a higher R-Value while maintaining the recycled content and sustainability features of the previous version, and sprayers were looking for better adhesion and something easier to apply throughout the seasons. We have accomplished that.”
