0.5 & 2 lb SPF yields
I am told by manufacturers that you can expect around 16000 bdft per set of 1/2 lb foam and around 4000 bdft for 2 lb foam. This has to be theoretical yield with a controled environment, i.e. perfect temp. ambient, substrate and chemical, humidity, etc. What is the typical actual yields you are getting for both the 1/2 lb and 2 lb foam. Is it unrealistic to figure on 25% less for actual yield v.s. theoretical. Also what do you use for figuring waste when you price a job. I am thinking around 25% for 1/2 lb and around 10% for 2 lb. |

4000 ft² sounds accurate for 2-pound. 16,000 ft² for open cell sounds good, but it may be a bit optimistic. We get 13500 more commonly. Keep the trigger pulled, olger |
