Asphalt plant
I have a potential client who wants to insulate some oil lines and a heater at an asphalt plant. The oil lines run at about 300 degrees, so these seem like they would be to hot to use spf on, we are considering building an enclosure around the actual heater and foaming the outside but I also have concerns about this.Any thoughts on safely insulating the heater? Any ideas on how to insulate an oil line that runs that hot? |

There is insulation specifically designed for hot tanks and pipes. For example, foamglass. I hate working with it because it is very friable, the dust is very itchy and it smells like rotten eggs. |
