basf walltite discontinued?
basf walltite is being discontinued......replaced with zero ozone depletion foam called basf eco? any details from anyone? |

BASF Walltite Eco is being sold now in Canada. It has a high recycled plastic content from PET bottles,bio based resin (castor oil based) and HFC 245 fa as a blowing agent (non ozone depleting) By regulation, all foam plastics in Canada must switch to non ozone depleting blowing agents by 2010. (Look for an article on this topic that I wrote for Construction Specifier Canada in the March 2009 issue) In the US BASF/PFE markets Spraytite and Comfort Foam. I am not aware that those foams are being replaced with Walltite Eco, as both of those foams contain non-ozone depleting blowing agents since at least 2005. But, I will check with a few folks and get back to your. |
