Hey Olger... Do you participate in any hobbies like that, or do you just know that site for shop tools?

I work at a hobby shop part time, and was just curious. Always nice to meet people interested in the same things. I fly r/c airplanes to keep me occupied when I'm not working :).

Hey Mike, you may want to come to this area sometime then! A fair amount of model fliers in the area and also the USAF Museum that is worth a couple of days going through. Not many places where you can see an original Wright Flyer and the F-22 as well as many one of a kind experimental planes.

http://www.wpafb.af.mil/museum/ if you want an example of some of the sites there.

Mike,

My son and I are getting our first r/c nitro plane in the next couple weeks. Should be very exciting. I have always wanted to fly one, he has finally become interested in them!

Take Care!

BHI: We have that one at our shop, do you own one? Those 1/5th scale monsters are so much fun to run and watch.. I used to race on-road years back but after having kids and getting married I don't have much time anymore :). I am going to fly competition in airplanes this year, so that should be fun! I plan on traveling to Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio for a few contests.

Granite: Have you flown before? If not, I highly recommend spending some time on a quality simulator first. Learning how to fly on the computer will save you a ton of money and will make your first flights much more enjoyable. Most clubs also have trainers that can help you with your first few flights, and can even put you on a "buddy" box to help you out.

Quentin: I love it, I will be sure to visit if I ever get to that area! I have been an aviation buff since I was 7 or 8, so I really enjoy those kinds of places. I would really like to get back out to the oshkosh airshow this year too.

Sorry to hijack the thread... maybe we should get back on topic? lol...

Hey 'Dude:

Not this year. Too late in the season. How 'bout you? How's the family?

Keep the trigger pulled, and grease the gun daily,
