Hardcoats
Hi MasonBeing in the seafood business, I spray a lot of coolers, freezer and ice holds on vessels. Is there a single component hard coat that would be recommended for these application. I don't want to use a polyurea through my reactor, so I was hoping to find a single component hardcoat that I can spray with my GH833 Airless Sprayer. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Steve |

Steve, I do not know of a single component hard coat that would give you the same properties as the polyurea. Tnere are some single component 100% moisture cure polyurethane coatings but I doubt they have the USDA rating you would need. Check with United Coatings, Neogard and Bay Systems, and SPI. They might be able to help. Also check with Bruce Schenke with BASF, he used to work for Futura Coatings some years ago and has an extensive knowledge of coatings used in a wide range of applications. |
