Posted: Feb 19, 2008 07:47 PM	hcfc22 hello all, i would like to inquire the use of hcfc22 for the sprayed polyurethane foam application. we have been using 141b as our blowing agent. i read that adding hcfc22 with our polyol reduces the flame spread and smoke development. B3 fire rating foam is not available in our country. Thanks, PMD

For specific information on HCFC 22 I would contact folks at Arkema. They manufacture HCFC blowing agents and can probably assist with product development. Tom Werkema is the person I know at Arkema he can probably get you in touch with the right folks. His contact info should be available at sprayfoam.org. in the member directory, category chemical supplier.
