leaking well in the gulf
...ok,,so this is a wetdream,,
but i think they know the pressure of the crude comeing out of the well..
we have the technology to "work" at these depths...
visualize..think outside of the box here,,,
visualize the refueling "pod" on airborne military aircraft,,,,
kinda like a hoop that directs the device over the fill valve,,
so,,,use a similar device,,,with lateral controls to offset the pressure deviation by the outrushing crude...
center device with pod type device and center injection tube over ruptured oriffice...
advance tube into the ruptured chamber to get well below defect....
and hit the biatch with spf/urea of some sort..highfrigginpressurebaby...let it react with the chemistry and the water and the oil..(polyols) and let it do what it can to expand and seal or slow the leak...
and if it blows the "slug" out and fails,,,skim it off the surface and nothing gained nothing lost...

i stuck my thingy
in the hole
i hit it hard
and made it swell
it spewed
it frothed
it foamed
and grew
to plug the leak
with foamy goo

burma shave

I guess that they never anticipated 20,000 plus psi coming out of a well over a mile deep underwater.

First valve was the highest rated valve known to man at 15,000 psi, blew it at 25,000 psi, then moved to the second and third one after another.

If you can get around the 15,000 psi pressure coming out, you might have something.
