Lightning rod ground wires in the walls
We have to foam a large barn with lightning ground wires installed inside the walls. The lightning people tell us this is no problem and they do it all the time inside the walls. The wires are bare woven copper and not insulated, and they say that it’s no problem burying them in foam or other insulation as they don’t give off any real heat during a strike, so no fire danger. I just want to be sure what the code says before the fire marshal raises the question. Thanks. Peter |
