noise reduction
Hello,I have a special request. A client wants me to spray with SPF a tin roof so that the noise of the falling rain is not heard inside the building. Has any body some experience with this kind of problem? The building is a movie studio, And the problem is they can not shot (film) during the rain, because of the noise produced by the tin roof. I would appreciate some statements from your experience. Thank you |

It should work well. Use about 10" of open cell foam. If money is no object, spray 1.5" of Thermocon (or K-13) over the foam. That will make a sound fortress. oG |

Hello, We applied 2” of BASF Elastopor foam on the outside of the roof and covered it with Deitermann coating (flexoplast). We made some tests and it seems to be OK, The noise level reduced enough. Thank you for your answer. Kind regards |

Gotcha... My solution was for the underside of the roof. Outside is better yet. |
