Pizza oven insulation..
Hi Mason, I usually only do Polyurea with my baby Graco E10 but I am doing a small project at home. My wood fired pizza oven will require insulation blankets between the fire bricks which line the dome and the outer layers of sand/cement plaster. If I put a 3inch coat of plaster and perite over the fire brick dome do you think that SPF will be able to cope with the heat if I use it as the insulation coat, maybe doing it about 4 inches thick? The internal dome temp will be about 700 F but not sure what temp might be where the insulation goes. Thanks Steve. |

Your sprayfoam can only handle substrate temperatures up to 200 F typically. I doubt if the foam would work with the pizza oven without a layer of high temperature insulation (such as foam glass) between the foam and the oven substrate. |
